And it was everything my heart desired. After that any present I got was gravy - and there was a lot of gravy, too. A stack of movies (including a couple German ones), Babylon 5 Season 2 on DVD, all sorts of materialistic excess. I am content beyond all reason as my iPod happily charges away, although I do have to snag one of those Firewire to USB 2.0 Adapters before I can actually use the thing as anything but an overcomplicated watch.

The puppy is finally named. The family decided to go with Mia, which I am content with. She's cute beyond all reason, and I don't even like labs that much. But everything she does is just shoot-yourself-in-the-face adorable.

Things have been good the past few days. I ended up having a bit of a boys night out on the 23rd with Jon and Jon and Ryan and Jose and his little brother Ruben. We played penny-ante poker. I started with a dollar stake and due to an absolutely ridiculous amount of luck (in particular a pair of unbelievable hands of Twin Beds) I walked away with $2.50. Maybe it'll happen again sometime - I had a really good time with those guys.

I miss Sam, tho'. At least now that she's back from the cruise I get to talk to her pretty often.

How big's the drive on your iPod? We both got one--and I have the same problem you do! Damn Firewire.

Being a big sucker for a cute puppy, I've got to agree with that. Very cute puppy.
