Friday at last, Friday at last, thank god in heaven, its Friday at last. I've been back in Ev IL a whole week already. Unbelievable but true.
To everyone who hasn't heard yet: I sprained my ankle super bad at about 10:30 PM on Saturday. Yes, that's right, the night before I flew back to Chicago. The worst of all possible times for an injury. I've been hobbling around in an air cast for a while now, and it feels much better. My foot is still fairly horribly purpley and bruised, however.
Following in the great tradition of my laziness, I skipped two classes this morning. Before the first week was even over! Is that a new record or what? Ostensibly I did it because I picked up a cold somewhere along the line here and am all stuffed up and feeling poorly. Really I just did it because I wanted to sleep in.
Life is fantasic. I missed everything about this place and these people. Its so good to see Sam again. And then, just when I thought things couldn't get any better... Lucky Boys Confusion announced a fan-club only show at Nevin's next Thursday. If I can manage to be there, that could be one of the sweetest things in recorded history.
