Well, its over. I'm graduated. They handed me a nice piece of paper with my name printed on it and everything. Heck, they even let me keep my tassel (though it would've been overwhelmingly easy to keep my cap and gown, I realize in hindsight. They were not keeping any sort of reasonable track of who had turned them in. Damn!) All told I've received about $500 in graduation checks, plus $100 in cash from one of my oh-so-thoughtful sisters, hooray for not having to wait for the check to clear. I also got an iPod from my sister Kate and her fiancee. I'm so happy to have an iPod again I could just burst.

Now real life starts, or so they tell me. The lure of doing absolutely nothing for the next month until my parents notice that's what I'm doing is surprisingly hard to resist. But in reality I acknowledge that the best thing I can do now is get off my butt and find a job - whether its part-time employment for the summer or an actual first job with a contract and a salary. Eep.
