As of yesterday afternoon I have succesfully completed two of the all-day General Liability training sessions. Four more remain. Fortunately the next one is not until Monday. Unfortunately we have not two but three next week. Its time like these I wish I could actually do something like bleed out of my eyeballs on command. Seven hours of PowerPoint slides in a little room, seven hours of struggling to understand arcane legal language -- seven hours interrupted only by a half an hour for lunch, and if we're lucky a ten minute break in the morning and one in the afternoon. Its like putting my brain through a woodchipper. All that's left at the end of the day is a fine pulpy mush.
Apologies to everyone for my mood lately. I'm frustrated and irritable, and its making me act... oddly. I'm tempted to describe my demeanor lately as "froggy," but I'm only half-sure what I mean by that. It suits though. I'm feeling froggy, like I might jump.

lady_eleret last night, trying to unravel the reasons behind my current sour temperament. I mentioned a lot of things, and one of them was the fact that I feel surrounded by couples lately. My close friends all seem to be either paired off already, or moving in the direction of meaningful relationships -- even the ones who are perennial screw ups when it comes to relationships (no offense intended, guys.) I was trying to explain the way that makes me feel simultaneously claustrophobic and hollow, but I wasn't articulating terribly well. And lady_eleret offered, in what I'm sure was meant to be a helpful and consoling manner, "I hate to say it, hun, but we're kind of at that age." Ugh. Thanks.
