So the ever-popular Faith finally brought Demonology 101 to a close. I, like many other fans, am pretty deeply saddened by this. I have been very, very into that strip (book, whatever) ever since I started reading it. And now it is gone, and I can either buy a Modern Tales subscription to read her other comic Ice (unlikely) or just wait around for her to draw something else free (possible.)

What's really staggering, however, is she recently posted a wrap-up thingie on the comic's livejournal, a sort of post mortem of her favorite moments from Episode 5. And she selects as her favorite moment in the entire comic the "both freakin' eyes" thing that I long ago made an LJ icon of mine. Out of 600 pages of story, she and I have the same favorite moment. How cool is that?

Have to admit, I'd only been following it halfheartedly since last summer. So, in honor of the tale wrapping, I reread the thing after supper tonight. Honestly good stuff. Still, it ended well. Wrapped up all the loose ends that needed to be wrapped, gave everyone if not a happy ending than the beginning of a happy ending, and wound up gazing ahead into the glorious sunset not back wondering when the tale fell apart.
