for a minute let's pretend when I disappear the world stops turning

OK weekend, all things considered. Saturday night I went out for dinner with my parents. I ordered the bison, which was quite good. After that I met up with Jon Singer, who was in town for the holiday. We were supposed to go see Kung Fu Hustle but he was feeling beat so we just skipped it and hung out. It was, as always, good to see him and I got to have one of my periodic chats with his parents which is always fun. It sounds like I'm probably going to see Kung Fu Hustle tonight anyway with Dave A and possibly a handful of others, so that all worked out OK.

Sunday was syganzychick's D&D game per usual (less devringalbrath, to my dismay.) We got in maybe two hours of gameplay, during which time the party was vexed by but ultimately triumphed over a fiendish elasmasaurus (which is not nearly so funny as it sounds, or at least the humor of the situation eventually wears off.) The game was bookended by the events of what is already becoming known in my head as the Night of Much Drama (or possibly the Day & Night of Much Drama, but that's clumsier and hard to say.) I didn't get home and to my bed until after 9 AM. Let us never speak of it.
