connection in an isolating age
Sep. 9th, 2005 09:38 amOK, so I mentioned recently that I had forgotten what a hypnotic effect having cable television would have upon my brain? Last night I was flipping through the channels, eating Chinese food and never watching fewer than two shows at a time. Anyway, I stumbled onto this one show and inexplicably watched a couple of minutes of it. And then I watched a couple minutes more, because that little girl from School of Rock turned out to be in the show (her name, apparently, is Miranda Cosgrove.) And I became engaged, and I ended up watching and enjoying the entire episode.
If ever you wanted proof that I am a complete and total goober, look no further. Because the show I found myself watching? That show was Nickelodeon's Drake & Josh.
...
Anyway, um... let's talk about something else... uh... Topher Grace is Venom in Spiderman 3, apparently? What the Hell? I mean, I like Topher Grace as much as the next guy. Maybe I even like him considerably more than the next guy. That seems likely. But Venom? I don't see it.
Random recurring thought: it is too bad that talking to strangers on the train means you are a crazy person, because sometimes there are very cute girls on the train.
Is it the end of the day yet?
