Catastrophic hardware failure. The new tragedy of the technological era. I finally was forced to install the new hard drive when the old one just up and refused to start up. So now its outside the box while the new one is inside (the reverse of the previous situation.) The OS is up and running on the new hard drive, and I'm beginning to transfer those files I backed up and install my various softwares. Given a few days I should be at a point where I'm ready to plug the old hard drive into the box as a slave to the new one and see whether I can salvage any of the 30 gigs or so of data I was unable to backup. Oog.

In other news, Dead City on Saturday night was awesome. The first literally breath-taking Vampire LARP I think I've ever been to. I rounded a corner and saw an assembled group of players in Cloak the Gathering and let out an involuntary "Mother of God!" and it was just great. I had piles of fun and hope that my character is going to be able to salvage that particular clusterfuck and get back to the plotting and scheming I had planned for him in the first place. Actually by the end of the night I had a good deal of that underway. So.

My girlfriend is sick. Its a bad scene, man. I feel bad for her, she seems so determined to be chipper even though I know she's feeling miserable. I don't know what to do, tho'. I mean, I'm pretty sure the cold is mine in the first place. It took its time making its way around our circle of friends and has finally settled on her. Oh well...

That's all the mental energy I've got just now. Longer entry at a later date.

Me also with the fun at DCP. Man, I was so busy running around talking to people that I never got around to my own plotting. Must work on that. Sorry to hear about Sam, though.

Yeah.. well the sickness was bound to hit me eventually. I feel the best solution is to pass it on to someone else. Especially the losing your voice and sounding like a boy going through puberty part.

To be fair, I was one of the people in that particular Cloak of the Gathering, and my reaction seeing all you people come 'round the corner at us created a pretty equivalent thought in my head.

Oh, and Sam, you have still failed. Your disease has failed to affect me.
