Regarding Doctor Who, Journey's End

As a follow-up to last week's post (warning, there are SPOILERS in the comments,) here are my thoughts on the Series 4 finale (with apologies for the delay, I was traveling home from the Cape):

The thing on the beach made me a little bit sick, actually. That's just WRONG.

What I really wanted to see Donna regenerate, and in the process remember that she used to be Ramona (from the kid's books by Beverly Cleary) and that she learned awesome wire-fu Dalek-killing chainsword techniques from Abslom Daak (because we all know that the weekly comic strip is 110% canon, especially that one where the 4th Doctor turned into a werewolf).

I'll never forget that Russell T Davies did this. I name him forever, Destroyer of Dreams :'(
