and I like it the farther I get out...
Dec. 20th, 2003 01:50 amJon Horowitz and I saw the Animation Show last night/tonight, the brainchild of Don Hertzfeldt, or Rejected fame and Mike Judge, of Office Space fame. It was very weird but also very very good and I'm glad that I went. Them pictures were purty. And I can now officially say that if you haven't seen Rejected on a big screen with high-quality sound then you haven't seen it all.
Came back to my house and chilled in my basement afterward. I showed off my color organ (thanks to
bobbler) which I had set up down there. Apparently my Dad's engineer friend back in his college days rigged up something virtually identical for their fraternity house. The more things change, right?
And speaking of which, I had one of those absolutely incredible conversations with Horowitz tonight. Apparently my neuroses are completely normal and like those of every other male in my age group on the planet. This may not actually be true, but between Horowitz, me and famous English author Nick Hornby I can officially say that I am at least insecure in a way that other people have been insecure before. And that's comforting.
"What should I have done to make you happy?"
"Nothing. Make yourself happy."
