Man, I go so long between updates, and then there's so much to say:

I lost my iPod. On Wednesday the 11th of February, most likely. I think I probably left it in Parkes 215. I had too many things in my hand on my way out of Anal Perf and, if my memory is correct, I set it down on the overhead projector and never picked it up again. I didn't notice its absence until after my seminar hours later. I have searched thoroughly and talked to the people in the class after mine, left contact information with the Chapel Office, etc. The truth of the matter is that its probably time to give up hope. I'm really bummed about it, actually.

Valentine's Day doesn't suck after all. I had a really good Valentine's weekend with Sam. We watched American Splendor which I had been meaning to see. It was actually quite good and had some interesting things to say about that thing I love so dear, storytelling. Sam made me spaghetti with meat sauce (OK, OK, I helped.) Everything was super except for the part where Sam started being feverish and sick midway through the cooking. So illness cut the romance short and I had to put poor Sam to bed. But it was OK, we just got to spend a really nice chunk of time together, and I wanted/needed that.

I'm actually going to graduate. Who could possibly believe it? Preregistration snuck up on me, so I sat down today to figure out what history courses I need to take in order to fulfill the major requirements. Turns out I only need one more, no matter which way you slice it. Which is just fabulous. So I registered for one and will probably have a fairly nice schedule next quarter. I'm pretty strongly considering taking Classics 245: Classics and the Cinema with Sam and Dana. Could be a lot of fun.

Everything else in my life is somewhere in between OK and fantastic. I really should be looking for a job and working harder in my seminar. But I'd so much rather watch old TV series while gluing together Warhammer figures, or play Mage and read Grant Morrison's the Invisibles (I just bought the first trade), or play Windwaker while listening to Blue bitch about ugly cell shading, or any number of other things that are just more fun. I fully anticipate devoting all of my free time to pursuits like these once I graduate. I guess I'm just getting an early start. Too early. I will need a job...

No conclusion there. But hey, that's life.
