silhouettes when our bodies finally go...
Jan. 6th, 2005 09:01 pmWell it happened again at work today: while making a delivery via a hospital loading dock I passed an undertaker removing a body in a bag from the morgue and loading it into a hearse. This has happened to me probably half a dozen times since I started this job, and it still messes with me a little every time. I don't think I'm cut out to work in the actual medical profession. I'm really coming to loathe the smell of hospitals.
So I was sort-of scheming a visit to Evanston for this year's B-Fest. Unfortunately my grandmother's 90th birthday and related party are that weekend, so that plan is out the window. I'd curse the day my grandmother was born, except if it hadn't happened there would be no me, so. I really would like a chance to visit sometime soon, I'm jealous of Blueguy who's out there now. In all honesty I haven't saved up enough money to justify it, nor have I turned up any job interviews out there... yet. But through about March there's still potential hiring being done for the next year, although most of it will get underway this month, so I hold out hope... as ever.
