its up in my heart when it skips a beat...

Hey all. I made it to Evanston safely and largely uneventfully. My drive on Thursday was sort of hampered by being stuck in DuBois Pennsylvania for like 2 1/2 - 3 hours (there was an accident that brought traffic to a dead stop for that long.) But I made it as far as Akron, Ohio before collapsing. Friday I made it into Evanston in the early afternoon and rendezevous'd with spreadnparanoia. I attended a surprise birthday party she was throwing for her new boyfriend and then another at jrdameonhv's place, with whom I'm staying for the first week.

Its positively superb to be back... even just seeing all the folks I saw last night (a sizeable chunk of my friend crew) was more than worth the driving. And the fact that I'm staying another couple weeks yet, and will have opportunity to see more of them all, I'm just utterly psyched about. (Incidentally, if you're reading this and you live in the Chicago area chances are good I'd like to see you while I'm here. But I'm scatterbrained, so please help me out.) It feels good to be home.
