wrap-up addendum...
Mar. 28th, 2004 05:57 pmIn addition to the books that were on my unofficial reading list, I also managed to knock off Liar's Poker by Michael Lewis. It was a moderately enjoyable read and had some interesting and enlightening things to say, but I'm not sure I would recommend it to anyone who didn't have a particular interest in economics and stuff. I just thought I would mention it.
My time in St. John was really excellent. I went to the beach 5 of my 6 days there (the sixth day it rained.) I swam and sat in the sun and went snorkeling... I saw a lot of tropical fish, some manta rays and a sea turtle. And for dinner my family either stayed in and cooked or ate out at excellent places that served fish (although I confess to having had steak my first night there. Sue me.) And all of this on my parent's nickel. It was exceedingly worthwhile.
Went to Belmont and Clark with Mike, Jeff and Sam today while it was nice (i.e. before the serious rain started.) Sadly Shiroi Hana doens't open 'till 4:30 on Sundays, so we went to some Indian food buffet that was passable. Jon Singer comes for his much-awaited visit on Friday, and I've got an Easter Game to plan for to boot. Time to get back into the swing of things, I guess.
