Have I mentioned recently how super-intense [livejournal.com profile] pax_malificus's Mage game is recently? Let me just say this: it has, in all seriousness, changed my perspective on certain aspects of that game irrevocably and in very thought-provoking ways. Not to mention that it has a tendency to sometimes get all emotional-like for me. The thought that it might not happen tomorrow, or worse still at all over the summer, makes me very sad.

Got around to seeing Kill Bill: Volume 2 on Saturday before DCP. It was good -- others have already expressed my opinion before I even saw it. I actually felt much more entertained by Hell House which I saw that night (courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] attackmonkey actually.) I mean, don't get me wrong. Kill Bill had some very disturbing stuff in it, some OK fight sequences that pale by comparison with the first volume. But in my book it gets most of its points for the training scenes with Pai Mei. Hell House, by contrast, briefly made me want to nuke an entire state and/or religious subgroup out of fear. Fanaticism is scary, man.

This entry isn't actually going anywhere, so I guess I'll leave it off here.

Cass tells me that Quentin Tarantino originally planned to play Pai Mei himself. Can you even envision how awful that would have been?

Also, not to jump up and down on your bubble and then set it on fire, but I've gotten a pretty strong hint from Chris that there will be no Mage tomorrow.
