Once again... everyone else was doing it...

1. Think of a word you would use to describe me.
2. Go to Google Image Search and search for that word.
3. Select the picture you see as most fitting, and post it as a reply.

(You are welcome to, but need not, tell me what the word was)

I am almost afraid to find out what the word in question was. Fuzzy?

You see "Puppy!" exclaimed with just the right child-like enthusiasm is something of a loaded word for Josh R, like those referenced in your recent Tuesday mini-poll. Said by him it means he is either A) in the presence of a dog or B) aware of how cute he is being. Said by someone else in imitation of him it is generally either a reference to their own cuteness or to his.

He really is a huge overgrown puppy that just happens to look like a person. Whereas I, despite any passing resemblance in personality to a canine, am apparently much more like a manatee. So sayeth that particular crowd of friends, anyway.

See, I just find it hard to make the manatee connection. I've seen you excited. Manatees don't get excited. You really seem to be about more than the floating, eating, and getting chewed up by boat propellers.

I think I'll just take that as a compliment, while quietly reminding you that the label isn't really self-applied. I mean, sure, I use it, but mostly as a flagging self-defense mechanism.
