Thanks to everyone who expressed support and well-wishes over my virus problems. I seem to have them sorted out now... there's something deeply satisfying about the end result, even if the process is so frustrating that it sometimes makes me want to tear my hear out.

I went to see Sky Captain last night with Dave A and couple of his friends from work (a guy named J and his girlfriend whose name already escapes me. Typical.) Apparently rollick and my girlfriend spreadnparanoia also went to see that film last night - how's that for coincidence? I agree with rollick's assessment of the film, but then I've always been a sucker for pretty things. Right about the time a little WWII-era two-person plane dove into the ocean at something probably approaching terminal velocity to become submersible and the wings not only failed to snap clean off but didn't even bother to have any apparent reinforcement to deter the shearing factor it became clear that this movie contained no actual science, per se. It did come with a hefty dose of science!, but most of that was of the amusingly vague and ridiculous variety.

Anyway. I enjoyed the film and appear to have Dave A hooked on the idea of playing Nobilis. Now if only I can sell juineve, then I will have two Familias and my opportunities for evil scheming increase exponentially.

Not totally. We've both been busy. But when we have been on together it's you that usually had to go first or didn't want to start in the first place.
