I had an initial interview with a woman in HR at Liberty Mutual this morning. Despite a few snags I was there promptly at 8:50 for a 9 AM interview. I think it went pretty well, and she's hopefully going to get me a couple further interviews, both informational and for actual positions with the company. So let's all keep our fingers crossed that Eben will have an actual, full-time job soon.
Later today my sister Sarah and my mother are taking me out to lunch. And tonight I have Kaplan training Session 4, making for a very full day indeed. I'm not wholly prepared for the training session tonight (I haven't finished prepping) in spite of my trainer's repeated warnings that this next one is tough. I'm just not inclined to pour myself into it right now, so its not happening. Oh well.
Of all the things destined to make me feel like I'm in high school again, Ben Folds having a radio single ranks pretty high on the list.
In other random musical news, I got the Hawthorne Heights CD (because dude, its that guy they kicked out of Taking Back Sunday, Ithink thought). I really want to like this CD, I do. But the screaming vocals do not layer on top of the wailing vocals nearly so well as I was led to believe. I'm hoping that its going to grow on me.
