That said, this is proving a little difficult for me right now, and not just because I hate making top 10 lists.

List of the top ten things that make you happy right now... and tag five people to do the same:

1. I may not be at my best,

but I'm getting better.

Christmas is coming, and with it the giving and receiving of gifts.

And I'll spend some time with my family.

I'm looking forward to my upcoming tiny little mini-breaks (December 26th and 27th, January 2nd).

thablueguy is back in the area, at least for a bit.

I'm hoping to hang out with human_typhoon when she's in Massachusetts.

I've still got my music (they can't take that way from me.)

Questionable Content and Something Positive have been downright incredible recently. And Smithson is quite good too, just slow.

The West Wing and Gilmore Girls have been pretty good this season.

There's reason to believe maybe this year will be better than the last.Tagged: no one, actually. Do it if the spirit moves you.

I actually feel that S*P has fallen off over the last few months. It used to be a lot better.

I respectfully disagree. The stuff with Davan and Nancy over the past week or so is absolutely blowing me away. Milholland is all about delayed gratification, about plot threading so long-term it never fails to astound me. As a writer he's patient in a way I can't even begin to identify with. And in its own tantalizingly glacial way the strip has finally started to touch explicitly on what I consider to be one of its core elements: everyone is growing except Davan.

I was referring specifically to the humor of the strip. I should have been a little more detailed in my comment. I used to laugh really hard out loud at the strip and I haven't done that in a while.
