enthusiastickSo I did in fact get a new cellphone last night, a blue Sanyo MM-8300. For the first time in my life I have a phone with a color screen (two color screens, actually, as it has a little one on the outside) and a camera and all those other bells and whistles that people have. It definitely satisfied my desire to have a new toy. I can't stop fiddling with it. My only regret is that its a flip phone. I hate the flip phone design, but the entire world seems to disagree with me; my selection of non-flip phones was severely limited, and none of them struck my fancy. C'est la vie, and farewell little LG 4NE1 -- you were a good phone before your battery turned to crap.
Not much else going on with me. Work is slow and the office is quiet. This stupid cold is getting on my nerves. Its really not severe in the slightest, but the accumulation of minor symptoms is irritating (and also really, really gross.) I have a sinking suspicion its going to get worse before it gets better but I'm hopeful that's not the case. Oh well, who cares if I'm under the weather for New Year's anyway. Just so long as I'm well the weekend after, which (knock on wood) I should be.
What's so all-fired important about the weekend after this coming one? I'm so glad you asked. The Prophet's Fall Winter event, of course! January 6-8 at beautiful Camp Nihan in Saugus, Massachusetts. sleetfall, you get a by because of mono. But the rest of you should really consider checking it out (euchaotic, syganzychick, I'm looking at both of you.) This event is not nearly as far out in the sticks as some of the ones in the past have been. And it will also be dirt cheap, at least compared to regular events. As if all of that weren't enticement enough, it will also feature beautiful props hand-crafted by none other than thablueguy. So come on, get up off your arses.
